"I am an election professional, not a politician."

Bottom line

"I have the education, certification, and experience to be Nassau County's Supervisor of Elections."

Education

Education

I am a graduate of the University of North Florida, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Information Systems. Throughout my career, I have taken various data administration, system security, and voting security classes and seminars.

My education prepared me to run successful elections in Duval County for 17 years.  I continue to learn election practices and procedures I will use in Nassau County elections.

Certification

Certification

In 2018, I completed the necessary coursework to receive my Certified Elections/Registration Administrator (CERA) designation from The National Association of Election Officials.  CERA training is a battery of 12 courses covering topics such as Voter Registration Administration and Facilitating Voter Participation, among others.

In 2019, I completed the necessary coursework to receive my Master Florida Certified Election Professional (MFCEP) designation from the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections.  MFCEP training consists of 30 core courses covering topics such as Election Law, Voter Registration, Polling Place Management, as well as courses in the areas of Human Resources, Stress Management, and Leadership, among others.

CERA and MFCEP are the two certifications held by the majority of election professionals in the State of Florida.
